If I were in my room back in Tilburg, I would probably be thinking, "What interesting things could I do in Tilburg this weekend? How can I cherish the rest of my time here, on my traineeship?" I would be in a mood more directed to exploring where I was and visiting new places.
If I didn't feel like exploring Tilburg, then I would look to the whole of The Netherlands for inspiration. Then, wider Europe.
Now that I am back in Auckland, I seem to have drifted into the routine of just "living here". But, why don't I have the explorer mindset that I had in Tilburg? There is no reason why I shouldn't. After all, Auckland is a big place. There are so many places that I haven't explored yet. So many restaurants, cinemas, galleries, parks and entertainment ideas.
I think that I will try it. It's like being a "trainee" in my own city!
