I just posted a big box of books, brochures and clothes to New Zealand. I want to post a lot of my things like this, keeping in mind the baggage weight restrictions of the multiple flights that I am about to take.

I was expecting the box to weigh close to 20kg - the limit for posting a box outside Europe, so I was surprised to learn that it was barely 12kg. In a way, this is good, because maybe the rest of my luggage is not as heavy as I suspect. If I don't need to post any more heavy packages, then that means I have more spending money in St. Petersburg and Paris.

Things are definitely winding up for me, as far as work is concerned, on my traineeship. I don't expect that Paul will give me any more work. My role until the end of the week is really just to transition what I am working on to Ben and to answer his questions. So, I spent all of today talking with Ben and looking through the various folders that contained things that I had worked on. Our conversation was peppered with tangents and the whole day felt rather lazy.

Agnieszka and I went to the movies last night. We saw "Mona Lisa Smile". It was better than I had been expecting.

My morning routine has really changed now that I live at Gorken's place. I wake up at 7:30am and I still have time to get dressed, eat breakfast, wash a few dishes before walking to the train station. The train station is only a five-minute walk away.

I had a productive day in Den Haag in terms of my travel organisation. I went to the Russian consulate, paid for my visa and collected it. The transaction was over in two minutes. Then, when I was back at the train station, I bought my bus ticket for Paris.

I had a pita pocket filled with falafel for lunch. I really liked it.

Due to some bad luck with the train, I didn't get to work until 3pm. I didn't mind this too much as I could read my book. It was Ben's first day of work. This week, I will be transitioning the contents of my task list to him. We started today. We were talking too loud in the main office, so we had to move into the kitchen. We discussed one of the business plans that I had been working on. Both Ben and I think that the plan is far too big and contains a lot of unnecessary statistics. Paul is a little stubborn with its content.
